This month, there will be two PhD defenses at Utrecht University that could be of interest to sociologists and anthropologists of law. The first is by David Ngira, on Monday 4 November (10:30), and concerns research on the role of informal dispute resolution mechanisms in rights protection in Kenya. The second research was conducted by Niels Rijke, and concerns labour policies at orthodox-protestant schools in the Netherlands. This defense will take place on the 25th of November (12:45, with a seminar in the morning). All interested are most welcome to attend.
