Membership

The strength of the Dutch Association for the Socio-Legal Study of Law (VSR) lies in its members. Our international, interdisciplinary network connects sociolegal scholars with diverse perspectives, expertise, and interests in the field of law and society. As a member, you will benefit from valuable networking opportunities, professional development, taking part in our seminars, and more. Members also receive the Journal of Empirical Research on Law in Action (Recht der Werkelijkheid) every four months. This journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for reflection in fields such as sociology of law, legal anthropology, public administration, legal economics, and legal psychology, with a particular focus on innovative empirical-theoretical contributions related to social developments and the evolving role of law.
